About LEGO Education Center (LEC)

Crestar Education Group is appointed by LEGO Education, Denmark, to operate exclusively a network of LEGO Education Centers (LEC) in Singapore. The first LEC located at Marine Parade, was launched in November 2004. First of its kind in South East Asia, the Center also houses the latest LEGO® MINDSTORMS® For Schools room, offering LEGO Robotics activities.

Recognizing children’s natural talent as self-directed learners, LEC creates a learning environment filled with open-ended activities built on choice and diversity. Its education programmes are based on an effective learning process of Connect, Construct, Contemplate and Continue. LEC offers a comprehensive range of programmes for preschoolers to teenagers to use their creativity and natural curiosity through hands-on experiences. They assist students to explore concepts of machines, mechanics and robotics. The lessons and products are designed and packaged for specific learning targets for maths, science, design and technology.

For young children, the LEC programmes will promote creation through play, opening multiple paths to creativity and learning. At the LEGO MINDSTORMS For Schools room, students will explore, build and make their LEGO creations or robots alive. Students will gain an understanding of important scientific and engineering concepts, involving sensing, feedback and control.
