KLC School of Education, formerly known as Kinderland Learning Centre, was established in 1988 to spearhead the training of child care teachers in Singapore. KLC School of Education offers education, consultancy services and preschool education programmes at Certificate and Diploma levels accredited by the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth & Sports (MCYS).

 

 

Since its inception more than 17 years ago, KLC has trained more than 7,000 early childhood teachers for various kindergartens and child care centres in Singapore. Today, KLC is one of Singapore's most established and successful preschool teacher training and professional development institutions.

KLC has expanded its regional learning network by fostering alliances with reputable foreign academic institutions. Collaborating with Beijing Normal University (BNU) since 1995, KLC was the first to offer the accredited Chinese diploma in Early Childhood Education in Singapore. In 1997, KLC offered a joint diploma programme with one of Australia's largest universities, the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), further enabling KLC's faculty members and students to benefit from an international and multicultural experience. Bachelor Degree programmes are also offered with foreign universities under KLC Institute, an associate company of KLC School of Education.
